Upcoming exhibitions; local and abroad
At the moment I have three upcoming exhibitions: The first is a group exhibition with the Whitewater Valley Artists Consortium which will take place from July 7 until August 8 at Indiana University East's Gallery. Then I am fortunate to have been invited to take part in two exhibitions in England. One will be with i2 Art Gallery in Saffron Walden, Essex. It will take place October 10th until November 21st and should include 15 - 20 of my originals. The second exhibition also scheduled for October will be together with The Bronze Gallery in Hartley Wintney, Hampshire and will include another 5 - 10 originals. Since both exhibitions will be taking place simultaneously, I am strongly considering visiting England during that time. I've had incredible support from collectors throughout the British Isles and if this trip becomes a reality, I hope to meet as many of you as I possibly can.
13 New Originals
During the last few weeks inspiration has been with me and I have completed quite a number of new originals. I wanted to share these with my newsletter subscribers before I start shipping them out to galleries at the end of the week.

Recent photo shoots and life drawing
I would never have imagined that there are as many highly talented models in the Midwest as I recently came to realize. I did a 'casting call' a few weeks ago wanting to do some live artwork. I hoped to schedule about 3 sessions, but got contacted by almost a dozen models within a few days. I ended up scheduling about double what I planned for. I have completed 3 sessions and I will be doing 3 more during June.
The first shoot was with Artemis from Fort Wayne. I believe that she is probably one the most experienced live drawing/painting models I've ever worked with and we had great fun - so much that we're planning another session shortly.

The second shoot I did was with Claudine, a Chicago based model originally from the Philippines. Claudine has a very strong commercial print background and fairly recently started modeling for fine art nudes. I was just thrilled when such an exceptional model was willing to drive all the way from Chicago to work together. Claudine has a very unique look and she really is a natural in front of the camera. Another model I would love to work with again.

Then about a week ago I did another live drawing as well as a photography session with a model from Dayton who calls herself 'Italian Kitten'. For a while I've wanted to suspend a model from my studio ceiling with a piece of fabric and that day was the day. What a great sport she was! I know for a fact that not many models would have thought such a challenge in balance and acrobatics fun, but this girl was up for anything.

Coming Up
This coming Saturday (May 24th) TJ and I will be on our way to Mexico. I have been counting the days for weeks and by now I am worse than a child the week before Christmas. I have never been to Mexico before and it has been more than three years since we spent some time on the beach. While at Riviera Maya I hope to do my advanced open water divers license. This should come in handy with underwater photography -something I hope to be taking on shortly.
Later in June, I am planning a trip to Utah, which will focus mainly on nudes in nature. I hope to be shooting at the Salt Flats, St. George and Moab. Shooting the nude figure in nature will be a new capture in my photography and long awaited one.
